We set off in the late afternoon, hike up in daylight and reach the summit just as the light turns golden. The valley disappears in shadow, the peaks glow, and for a while the mountain is entirely yours. After sunset we head back down together by head torch.

I'm not only a certified mountain hiking guide, I've also been photographing for over ten years with professional equipment. You hike, I read the light, recognise the moment and capture the golden hour in images that last. Within three to five working days you receive your edited photos as a digital download.
We meet at the agreed meeting point about two hours before sunset, short introduction, safety briefing, head torches in your pack. You receive the exact meeting point and time with your booking confirmation.
We hike up in full daylight, about one hour, around 300 metres of elevation, 2.6 kilometres. No hectic pace, just enough so that we reach the top comfortably before the sun sets.
At the top we watch the sun go down over the ridge. I take photos in parallel, you enjoy. We spend around 30 to 40 minutes together at the summit, with a break for a small snack.
Within three to five working days you receive a download link by email with your edited photos. A beautiful end to the day.
The meeting time depends on the time of sunset that evening. We meet roughly two hours before sunset so we reach the top comfortably in time for the light. The exact time is shown on your booking date and confirmed with your booking confirmation.
Ankle-high hiking boots, several layers because it cools down noticeably at altitude once the sun goes down, a head torch for the descent in the dark, enough water and something to eat. You will receive a detailed packing list with your booking confirmation. Important: I unfortunately can't take you along if you're wearing sneakers, ordinary sports shoes or open sandals.
The tour goes ahead even in light rain. In case of safety-relevant weather such as thunderstorms, strong wind or dense fog, I decide at the latest the evening before by 7 pm whether the tour goes ahead. In that case you get either an alternative date or a full refund.
Overcast evenings on the mountain have their own atmosphere too, often with particularly soft diffused light and beautiful cloud structures. We still go up and I keep taking photos. Only if visibility drops below fifty metres do I cancel for safety reasons.
Normal basic fitness is enough. The tour is designed for about three hours in total, the climb takes around one hour with roughly 300 metres of elevation and 2.6 kilometres. We move at a pace that lets you keep up comfortably and arrive warm at the top before the sun comes.
No, unfortunately not. Dogs are not allowed on many of our trails, so we cannot take dogs on the tours in general.
