Then we head into the mountains around Schladming-Dachstein together. I plan the route to a spot that suits the two of you, guide you there safely and photograph the moment you ask the question. Discreetly, from the background, without your partner realising a camera is along. Afterwards you have your engagement not only as a memory in your head, but in real images of exactly that moment.

Discreetly planned

The surprise stays a surprise.

You let me know beforehand what you have in mind. To the outside it is a perfectly normal photo hike, so your partner knows I am along with the camera. What your partner does not know is your plan. We agree on a small sign that tells me when the moment has come. At the summit you ask the question, and I capture exactly that moment without disturbing it. Within three to five working days the images are ready, fully edited, as a download for you.

You write to me with what you have in mind. We have a call and go through the sequence, the right spot, a sign for the right moment as well as weather and fitness level.

Hike to the spot

We set off together. To your partner I am simply the hiking guide showing you the way. Nobody suspects what is planned.

The moment

At the spot you ask the question. I photograph discreetly from the background, without disturbing the moment. On request we do a short couple shoot afterwards.

Within three to five working days you receive a download link by email, with fifteen individually edited photos per person plus all originals unedited.

Usually it is just the two of you. If close people such as witnesses or family should be there, the price applies per person and is capped at the top for the whole group. Just write to me and I'll work it out for you. Not included are travel to and from, food and any parking fees.

Will my partner know that photos are being taken?

Yes, and that is a good thing. We openly do a photo hike, so your partner knows I am along with the camera and taking pictures of the two of you on the way. What your partner does not know is your actual plan. We hike up together, enjoy the trail, and at the summit you ask the question. I capture that moment while you are completely in it. That way you have lovely images of the whole day and of the proposal itself.

Can we choose the spot ourselves?

Gladly. If you have a particular place in mind, I plan the route there. If you don't, I suggest fitting spots around Schladming. In uncertain weather I keep an alternative ready so the day is still a good one.

How fit do we need to be?

A normal base fitness is enough. I choose the route to match your level, from an easy alpine path to a slightly longer mountain tour. In a pre-call we clarify what suits you, so the day stays relaxed.

What happens in bad weather?

In safety-relevant weather such as thunderstorms or storms we move to an alternative date. In light rain we decide together, safety always comes first. If no alternative can be found and I cancel for weather or safety reasons, you of course get your money back.

How many photos do we get?

Fifteen individually edited photos per person, plus all further shots unedited as a digital download. For a couple that means thirty edited images plus the complete rest. You receive the download link within three to five working days.
