High-altitude and long-distance trails have a special appeal for me. Hiking from hut to hut with a backpack has its own kind of power. When you are on the move for several days in a row, you automatically slow down, and everything reduces to what really matters.
For me this has always been the best counterbalance to a job, and it has often felt genuinely healing. The worries of everyday life stay in the valley, your thoughts sort themselves out along the way, and after a few days you come back rested and strengthened.
Along the way we take enough time for the path. Together we climb summits, enjoy the route and the view, and of course the delicious food at the huts too.

You don't want to go where everyone else goes, but a tour that suits you and your group? Then let's plan it together. The possibilities here are practically endless: crystal-clear mountain lakes, scenic high-altitude trails, summits with views all the way to the Dachstein.
Just tell me what interests you and how much you feel up to. I put the tour together, plan the route, reserve the huts and take care of all the organisation. Along the way I take on the guiding and navigation, and you can simply enjoy the days.
Hiking is good for body and mind, and that is very well documented.
Movement in nature lowers stress hormones and helps you switch off.
Walking releases feel-good hormones such as serotonin. That lifts your mood and can even ease depressive symptoms.
When you push yourself on the mountain and manage it, you carry that feeling back down into the valley with you.
Regular hiking lowers blood pressure, strengthens the heart and improves stamina.
Hiking works all the major muscle groups, strengthens bones, tendons and ligaments, and improves posture.
Anyone who regularly walks on varied terrain becomes more sure-footed and stable, and gets injured less often.
